Scott P. Zoppoth

Scott P. Zoppoth, the founder and owner of the firm has over 24 years of extensive experience in business and commercial litigation matters, including commercial arbitration matters with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and securities arbitration matters with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) (Now “FINRA”; Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). He has successfully handled hundreds of jury and bench trials, injunction hearings and evidentiary hearings for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in Federal and State Courts and hearings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) in Kentucky, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, New York and Illinois.

Mr. Zoppoth served as an arbitrator on the commercial panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for over ten (10) years.

Mr. Zoppoth moved to Louisville in 1991 and has a long history of active involvement in the community. Mr. Zoppoth is a long time member of the board of directors of Camp Piomingo and of the Downtown YMCA and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. He has been the Chairman of the Parish Council at his church for the past seven (7) years. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Kentucky Lawyer Referral Service Program, which is a part of the Louisville Bar Association. He also is active on various committees and fundraising efforts at Kentucky Country Day School, where his children attend.

Mr. Zoppoth has owned and operated his own law firm since 1996.
From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Zoppoth practiced law in a boutique litigation firm in Houston, Texas. He moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1991 and worked as a senior associate in the litigation department of a medium sized law firm before starting his own law firm in 1996.

Mr. Zoppoth is licensed in Kentucky and Texas and before the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

Amanda R. Walker

Chris Hartley is a Louisville native, graduating from Kentucky Country Day School.  He earned his B.A. degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2006.  He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2009 and began practicing law in Louisville that same year.  He is currently a candidate for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Louisville.

Chris previously served as an assistant Jefferson County prosecutor, where he tried felony and misdemeanor cases.  In addition, Chris was an associate at a prominent civil defense law firm in Louisville representing hospitals and doctors in medical malpractice actions.

Chris joined the Zoppoth Law Firm in 2012 and concentrates his practice on business and commercial litigation matters.

He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Brandeis Inn of Court.  He is licensed to practice law in the Federal District Court of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

When not practicing law, Chris remains active in his community serving on various non-profit boards including the Historic Homes Foundation of Louisville, the Louisville Youth Orchestra and the Louisville Public Media Advisory Board.

Amanda R. Walker

Amanda R. Walker was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, with a concentration in Law and Public Policy, from the University of Louisville in 2006. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2010. While attending law school, she was a member of the Legal Association of Women and was the coordinator for the Chase Law Advocate Program. She is currently a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County.

Ms. Walker is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Justice Association, the American Bar Association, and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American and Kentucky Bar Associations.

Ms. Walker concentrates her practice in labor and employment law.

Amanda R. Walker

Philip Price joined the The Zoppoth Law Firm in 2012. His practice focuses on personal injury, business and commercial litigation in both state and federal court.

Prior to joining The Zoppoth Law Firm, Philip worked in the litigation department of one of the largest personal injury firms in Kentucky where he gained invaluable civil litigation and trial experience.

Philip grew up in Salisbury, MD. He obtained a B.A. in History from Loyola University New Orleans in 2000 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola in 2004.  He began practicing law in Kentucky in 2010.

Philip is a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association. He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Federal District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. He resides in Louisville with his wife, Megan.

Tara Ragan

Amanda R. Walker

Tarra Ragan was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the University of Louisville in 2007. She earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2011.  While attending law school, she was a member of the University of Louisville Law Review and was the recipient of the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence.

Ms. Ragan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Indiana. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institution, and the Order of Kentucky Colonels.

Ms. Ragan has litigation experience in both Kentucky and Indiana primarily representing banks and corporations.  She concentrates her practice in business and commercial litigation and labor and employment law.

In her free time, Tarra enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and playing soccer.
