Scott P. Zoppoth

Scott P. Zoppoth, the founder and owner of the firm has over 24 years of extensive experience in business and commercial litigation matters, including commercial arbitration matters with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and securities arbitration matters with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) (Now “FINRA”; Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). He has successfully handled hundreds of jury and bench trials, injunction hearings and evidentiary hearings for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in Federal and State Courts and hearings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) in Kentucky, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, New York and Illinois.

Mr. Zoppoth served as an arbitrator on the commercial panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for over ten (10) years.

Mr. Zoppoth moved to Louisville in 1991 and has a long history of active involvement in the community. Mr. Zoppoth is a long time member of the board of directors of Camp Piomingo and of the Downtown YMCA and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. He has been the Chairman of the Parish Council at his church for the past seven (7) years. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Kentucky Lawyer Referral Service Program, which is a part of the Louisville Bar Association. He also is active on various committees and fundraising efforts at Kentucky Country Day School, where his children attend.

Mr. Zoppoth has owned and operated his own law firm since 1996.
From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Zoppoth practiced law in a boutique litigation firm in Houston, Texas. He moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1991 and worked as a senior associate in the litigation department of a medium sized law firm before starting his own law firm in 1996.

Mr. Zoppoth is licensed in Kentucky and Texas and before the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.


Simon Berry

Simon Berry

Simon's primary practice areas are business and commercial litigation. He also has experience with business entity selection and formation, as well as, buy/sell and asset purchase agreements. He graduated from University of Kentucky's School of Law in 1998. Following law school, Simon gained trial experience practicing in the Warren County Attorney's Office and then in private practice in Louisville. In May 2003, he obtained an LLM in corporate and securities law from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and thereafter, he was an attorney in the legal department of an investment bank in New York City. Simon and his wife returned to Louisville in February 2006 to raise their two children. Since his return to Louisville, Simon has concentrated his practice in the field of representation of clients in the enforcement of non-competition agreements, construction law disputes, and insurance coverage disputes.

Simon is licensed to practice in Kentucky and New York and before the United States District Court of Kentucky Eastern and Western divisions.


Jennifer L. Hulse

Jennifer Hulse

Jennifer L. Hulse, was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Bellarmine University in Louisville, from which she graduated with magna cum laude academic honors.  She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, graduating in the top of her class.  While attending law school, she was a member of the National Securities Law Moot Court team, the Kentucky Mock Trial team, and the ATLA National Mock Trial team and received an award for Best Advocate at the competition.

Ms. Hulse is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Florida.  She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Jennifer L. Hulse has experience representing businesses in both Kentucky and Florida and has tried jury and bench trials across the state.  She concentrates her practice in business and commercial litigation and formation of various types of companies, including “s” corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.  She has an extensive background in commercial real estate transactions and has represented clients in purchasing and selling commercial real estate as well as commercial property leases.  In addition, Ms. Hulse has served as in-house counsel for a group of small and mid-sized businesses, so she understands at a detailed level the operational and organizational aspects of the day to day activities of businesses. 

Ms. Hulse is very active in her community and a member of various community organizations.  In her free time, she is an avid golfer, athlete, and sports fan and loves to travel.

Mandy L. Robinson

Mandy Robinson

Mandy Robinson has served as a legal assistant for The Zoppoth Law Firm since January 2004. She is considered a devoted employee and an integral component in the entire law firm’s operation. In addition, Mandy provides necessary assistance in every aspect of the firm’s daily operation. As the law firm’s office manager she is responsible for all client invoicing on a monthly basis. Mandy’s experience as a legal assistant began with Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP where she worked for a total of six years in their Louisville and Cincinnati offices. Mandy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and her education includes graduating from Indiana University Southeast with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a minor in Political Science and Business.
